Blueprint

The Blueprint Brunch brought together local community leaders, partners, and visionaries for an open and solution-focused conversation on how we can rebuild, restore, and revitalize the west side—one house at a time.

During this collaborative event, we explored practical strategies for:

  • Strengthening housing opportunities

  • Rehabilitating aging neighborhoods

  • Supporting families through stable homeownership

  • Creating sustainable, community-led economic growth

  • Partnering with organizations, churches, and local districts

  • Empowering youth and future leaders

  • Building a shared vision for a thriving west side

The heart of the Blueprint Brunch is simple: the future of our community is built together. By uniting leaders, residents, and partners, we are laying the foundation for long-term transformation and revitalization that reflects the dignity, beauty, and potential of every family who calls the west side home.

This is more than planning—it’s a movement toward generational change, stability, and restored hope.

Thanksgiving Table Setting
Family Dinner Gathering

Thanksgiving Food Drive

This Thanksgiving, MAGIC7, in partnership with Greater Washington Park First Baptist Church Community Development and representatives from Districts 4, 5, and 7, came together to uplift our community through a powerful and heartfelt Thanksgiving Food Drive.

Rooted in the belief that we are stronger when we do life together, the collaboration provided families with everything needed for a fresh, abundant, and joyful holiday meal. Each family received a full Thanksgiving package including a turkey, ham, fresh produce, canned goods, and fresh juice—enough to feed a family of four.

This initiative wasn’t just about food—it was about unity, dignity, and hope. Through teamwork and community partnership, we helped ensure families across our city could gather around their table with gratitude and fullness.

One community. One mission. One family at a time.

Powerful Tornado Scene

Selma Tornado Relief Tailgate: Serving a Community Rebuilding From Devastation

When the devastating tornado hit Selma, it left homes, businesses, and entire neighborhoods destroyed. Families lost nearly everything in a matter of minutes — yet in the midst of loss, our community came together with strength, compassion, and unity.

To support those affected, MAGIC7 hosted a community relief tailgate event to provide immediate care to Selma residents in need.

We were able to serve families by providing:

  • Personal hygiene essentials

  • Baby items including formula and pampers

  • Milk and beverages

  • Washing powder and household necessities

  • Non-perishable food items

  • Warm meals prepared and served on-site — free to the entire community

This was more than an event; it was a moment of hope in the middle of hardship. Neighbors encouraged one another, children played, and families received the support they needed to take their next step toward recovery.

At the end of the day, all remaining supplies were donated to a local church’s Food Pantry, ensuring ongoing support long after the event ended.

In times like these, community isn’t just a word — it’s action. It’s showing up. It’s doing life together. And it’s reminding Selma that even in devastation, they are not alone.
